Mike Miller, MetroPOLICE shown here at a recent "death scene" with the rough sketch he made of the area which he planned to electronically document with his total station. Rough Sketches recommended at both Crash and Crime scene investigations.

Dave Bean, recipient of the highly acclaimed J.Standard Baker Award for his Excellence to Traffic Professionalism, shown here describing some scenes that he mapped for students of a FMS class in Virginia.  Dave recently retired from the Fairfax Co. Police, Virginia, and was the lead investigator who alerted NHTSA to the latch problems associated with Chrysler van which soon lead to a nationwide recall of that year and model Chrysler Vans.  Dave now works indirectly for NHTSA reconstructing certain types of vehicle damage for statical purposes.  Good Luck Dave in your "retirement"!!

Keeping important notes on FMS concept

Physical evidence that would be otherwise hard to document discovered inside a large Ford SUV didn't keep a AFOSI agent/forensic consultant recently from using her creative skills in positioning her total station for said purpose.
